Hello! I’m in Belgium!

Arrived safe and sound yesterday after sitting right at the back of a rather cramped aircraft courtosey of Brussels Airline. Met up with my buddy Mr Johnson and hung around waiting for my ill fated travelling buddy – who apparently couldn’t make the journey due to travel woes.

Went for lunch in a 50′s style diner, had a tasty, tasty sandwich with meatballs and pepper sauce. Gosh, this is starting to sound like some sort of lame twitter post. Blogging: Twitter with unlimited characters.

Came back and relaxed – there’s not a whole lot to do when you’re running about on three hours sleep. Was interesting to see the old trains and the architecture of some of the buildings out and about. Lazed about at night and watched Jackie Brown, the last in Tarantino films I had yet to see.

Today we woke up early and cycled down to the local farmers market to buy fresh mattetart, rode around and took some photos too, missed one of an awesome hippie-dude crouching next to a field of herbs – but managed to get one of tiny tiny bunny rabbits that make up for that.

Came back to some homegrown eggs on toast with some tasty cheese, then headed back out after another round of Ross Noble to go and see more of the town. Headed off to a sweet little farm shop that sold its own produce and made fresh ice-cream, with fantastic pistashio stuff.

Tonight we’re going to have some stereotypical Belgian cuisine, frites!

Any country that boasts chips as their national dish is good in my books :D
