Black! Black! Black!

Thursday 22 February, 2007

I’ve gone all dark, me.

The strangely and only coincidently Microsoft Windows hued site of yesteryear has been pushed off the top of a set of high rise flats to plummet to its doom, and a cleaner splash screen is being winched up and given tasty things to welcome it to my website. The pretentious babble at the top has disappeared, and so have the links to my drawings and my photography, as those can be put in this blog instead.

A link to this blog and to the Vladimir section is all that remains now, hopefully seeing these two items when I open Firefox up will motivate me to finish them properly by the end of this year.

The Long and Winding Path

Tuesday 19 December, 2006

Well dear me, I have been lazy haven’t I? The wonderful Mr. Joose whipped up a fantastic content management system for my Vladimir web comic some time ago, and I’ve had neither the time nor the inclination to get around to branding it with Vladimir’s wonderful brand of soviet propaganda. I’ve also been staring blankly at the front page of my site wondering if I should change that too. A splash page, or so I have been taught, has no place in modern websites. I should just move to some other kind of navigation in-site.

And then I can only look at it while the website hosting is up, which it sometimes isn’t, usually without any kind of warning or apology. Looks like I should be moving that too. At least this all helps me with my new-years resolutions. I aim to have my website fully-operational (test fire, alderaan, etc) by the end of 2007.

Here’s hoping!

The Beginning

Wednesday 20 September, 2006

Welcome one and all to the first logbook entry of Grimmie.co.uk, and indeed the first completed section of the site. I’ve moved away from my far more relaxed LiveJournal blog and decided to let the friendly people at Word Press look after my needs for the official site. Nice soothing clean design, relatively easy to modify – Exactly the ethos I want the rest of my website to follow.
